Employee Spotlight: Maya Oren, Director of Content and Legal Affairs

As Director of Content Licensing and Legal Affairs Maya has been providing counsel to YCD in various legal and content related capacities for the past four and a half years. On a daily basis Maya steadfastly resolves conflicts, negotiates agreements, and protects the interests of the company, our employees as well as our customers and partners.

Maya has nearly 20 years of experience in the media and legal disciplines having worked in television, media, and other publishing mediums. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Law degree from Tel Aviv University, Maya worked as an intern for a leading constitutional and civil rights law firm and served as a public defender with Israel’s Ministry of Justice.

In addition to launching the legal department at YCD, Maya was also integral in building the company’s extensive library of visual and music content, thus allowing YCD to provide its customers with a broad selection of licensed content to suit their specific needs.

Maya enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four children. She loves good food – whether it be cooking, baking or dining out.
