Vice President, Business Development & Client Services
An early believer in the power of in-store digital media, Josh has committed the last 5 years to helping brands, retailers, and agencies create compelling in-store integrated marketing solutions that yield measurable results.
Prior to joining YCD in 2008, Josh spent 3 years at STORS Media Networks working with national retailers to design and implement in-store media and marketing solutions. While at STORS, Josh worked with national retailers including Staples, Circuit City, Tweeter Home Entertainment, and BJ’s Wholesale Club, as well as brands like Sony, XM Radio, HP, BOSE, and Intel. Josh’s experience includes all aspects of deploying an in-store media network; ranging from creative strategy, to custom technology development, to retail integration and installation.
Over the past year at YCD, Josh has been responsible for developing relationships with retail design firms, shopper marketing agencies, creative agencies, hardware manufactures and other strategic partners. These business development efforts lead to YCD’s current relationship with Pizza Hut which is continuing to roll out locations this month. Additionally, in collaboration with market research firm Technomic and creative agency Alchemy, Josh led YCD’s first US pilot with Kainos Partners, a Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee, to prove the case that digital media can have a dramatic impact on customer purchasing behavior and drive measurable sales uplift.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from Boston University and a BA from Brandeis University. His case study entitled “Engineering the Experience for Best Buy’s Magnolia Brand” was published by Boston University School of Management in 2008.
