Employee Spotlight: Oren Sela

Visual & Creative Department Manager

Oren joined YCD Multimedia in November of 2008 as part of YCD’s commitment to providing strategic creative solutions to our retail and marketing customers.

He brings to YCD 14 years of experience in the advertising industry with positions in both above-the-line and below-the-line advertising. Recently, as Managing Director of the Israeli office of OgilvyOne, an agency specializing in interactive marketing, sales promotions and experiential marketing, Oren led the agency’s search for new platforms and opportunities to enhance communications between retailers/brands and the end consumer. It was during this research that Oren first became acquainted with YCD and he knew immediately that YCD would become his next “home”.

At YCD Oren manages a creative team that includes five talented individuals with a wide array of expertise and experience including graphic design, video editing, Flash programming, After-Effects, film production and content management. He says: "In order to develop a customized creative solution for our clients we must truly understand their business challenges; their marketing objectives; their customer’s shopping behavior; and the potential value that digital media can add to their business. Only then can we begin the creative process. Fortunately I have a very talented group of people in my team".

One of Oren’s first achievements at YCD was to shift the focus of the creative department from a tactical focus, simply carrying out creative projects, to a strategic, consultative creative department. The department now can lead our clients through the process from strategic planning through to final execution. Oren says "We have managed to make this shift in a very short period of time and our visual content capabilities are at the center of YCD’s value proposition today”. Oren adds “I believe that YCD Multimedia is one of the most innovative companies in the digital media arena today. Our cutting edge technology, business focus and the great synergies between our internal departments allow us to bring real value to our clients”.

Oren has a B.F.A. in Cinema and Television Studies from Tel Aviv University. He is married with three daughters, and enjoys spending time on the sea and sailing.
