Issue Summer 2009

Greetings from our CEO, Barry Salzman

“It looks fantastic. I have to say I was mesmerized and my wife had to drag me to baggage claim.” That’s not bad praise from a Pulitzer prize-winning architecture critic upon seeing one of YCD’s most recent installations for American Airlines at their new terminal at JFK Airport in New York City. The promise of digital media is that it is more engaging and impactful than its static paper-based predecessor…but more importantly, we have long advocated its value is also in its measurability.

Our vision at YCD governs how we think and act every day to serve our customers and it guides the decisions we make about resource allocations and our product development roadmap. That vision is about enabling businesses to achieve measurable results by innovating with digital media in their place of business. We’re committed to helping change the way retailers and brands communicate with customers in-store and to do that by bringing unprecedented measurement, personalization and interactivity to in-store marketing, from the customer experience we enable our clients to create to the tangible and measurable returns on investment we help to bring to digital in-store promotions.

In this newsletter, we’re excited to share with you our progress toward that vision. Our ongoing investment in engineering is focused on bringing measurement, optimization and ease of execution to in-store media programs that engage customers and generate a return on investment for retailers. This summer, we’re launching YCD’s RAMP (Real Time Ad Management Platform), to offer a turnkey digital in-store campaign management and optimization platform to retailers. We’re excited about the potential it offers retailers to cost effectively create, distribute, manage and optimize in-store digital media programs, so let us know what you think after taking a look at our RAMP sneak peek. Oh, and by the way, the retailers that have previewed it have called it “Retail’s Holy Grail” so stay tuned….

Regards,
