A Letter from our CEO: Noam Levavi

We will surely look at 2010 as the year that the digital place-based media industry entered adolescence, and not only earned recognition as a powerful tool for brands and retailers, but became an integral and necessary part of any successful retail marketing mix. The reason for this, quite simply, is that it works.

Some of the barriers in introducing digital media solutions to major high street brands have recently evaporated. We have experienced this at YCD with an increasing embrace of in-store media platforms by early-adopter retail players.  We believe that personalization, relevancy and customer engagement are the keys to any successful digital place-based media installation, and it is through these concepts that we continue to develop our retail-centric solutions.

2010 marked the beginning of a new era for digital media in the retail environment. We are thrilled to share with you in this issue, some very exciting deployment projects from the last few weeks, which clearly reflect this change.

Like it or not, life is all about change. I woke up yesterday to a personal reminder that I had hit the age of 35. For other YCD family members, this too has been a month of many life-changing events, from marriages to beautiful newborn twins.

With these positive changes, stay tuned for the news we’ll share with you in the following few months.
