NEW YORK, NY - October 8, 2007 - YCD (http://www.ycdmultimedia.com), the world pioneer in integrated delivery of digital content and on-site brand building media solutions, today announced the hiring of Barry Salzman as CEO.  Salzman brings to YCD a proven track record in building and managing an international high growth business to help marketers utilize technology solutions that overcome traditional communication boundaries.  As President of DoubleClick’s global media businesses, Salzman spearheaded the US-based company’s expansion into 24 countries.  During his tenure, he helped lead DoubleClick from start-up to a global leader with revenues in excess of $500 million and over 3,000 employees worldwide. YCD works with some of the world’s most recognizable brands including Philips, McDonald’s, Giorgio Armani, Toyota, MasterCard and Hilton helping them create effective on-site media environments and is backed by leading venture capital firms Pitango Ventures and Arts Alliance.  The company will look to Salzman to continue to grow its presence worldwide.  “It is a significant achievement to be able to attract such caliber of management and is a clear testament to the great potential of YCD,” said Netalie Nadivi, Philips, Manager, Business Development.

Founded in Israel in 1999, YCD’s on-site solutions go beyond digital signage to deliver and manage dynamic programming and training applications for retail environments. YCD’s lead in market innovation has made it the choice of major brands seeking measurable returns from targeted point-of-sale communications, while enriching the customer and employee experience through a turnkey customized programming solution for on-site media.

As a pioneer in the Internet advertising industry, Barry Salzman helped many global brands first utilize online marketing to communicate with their customers in innovative ways that drove sales and created long-term sustainable advantages.  “I believe YCD is well positioned to lead the growing trend toward the use of digital point-of-sale communication to revolutionize the customer experience, and give marketers a new set of targeted and measurable tools that parallel the importance of the Internet in the marketing mix,” he said.  As CEO, Salzman will be based in New York City, with co-founder Noam Levavi who will now assume the title of President, responsible for business development initiatives, media and product development strategy. Co-founder and CTO Dani Zeevi will remain in Israel overseeing development and operations there.

“We at YCD believe the time is right to capitalize on our early growth and realize our full potential to serve customers worldwide by recruiting a global business executive to lead the charge of making our vision a reality.  In Barry Salzman we have that person and look forward to tapping his expertise to make YCD the unquestioned leader in our industry,” said YCD co-founder & President Noam Levavi.

Beyond his experience at DoubleClick, Barry Salzman most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for comparison shopping site ShopWiki. Salzman holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
