Dror joined Carmel Ventures as a Venture Partner in September 2011, following over 9 years of executive career at Comverse. Dror served as President of Global Sales Group and EVP Comverse Technology; before that he served as President of the Products Group. Before that, Dror was a Partner at Shaldor, a leading management consulting firm in Israel, where he led the development and implementation of business and marketing strategies for major organizations. He holds two Bachelor degrees in Information Systems Engineering (Com Laude) and Industrial Engineering (Com Laude) from the Technion, and an MBA from the Tel Aviv University.
Rami has served as General Managing Partner of Pitango Venture Capital (originally Polaris) since co-founding the company in 1993. Rami brings extensive experience in venture capital and international high-technology management. He has held sales and marketing positions at IBM and senior executive roles at Orbotech (NASDAQ:ORBK), and has served on the Boards of VocalTec (VOCL), Retalix (RTLX), Optibase (OBAS) and RADWARE (RDWR). He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Information Science from the Technion Institute of Technology, and is a member of the advisory boards of the Technion’s Yazamut-Bronica Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center and The Merage Foundation for U.S.-Israel Trade.
Avi Zeevi, a veteran high-tech executive, is a co-founder of the Viola Group, a leading innovative Israeli private equity investment group with $2B under management. Avi has a proven track record as an entrepreneur, executive and investor with more than 30 years of experience. In the year 2000, Avi co-founded Carmel Ventures, a top-tier Israeli venture capital firm, with over $600 million under management. Avi serves as a General Partner in Carmel and his investment interests include Software, Financial Services and Internet. Avi is a leading figure in the Israeli VC community and he serves as the Head of the VC Committee at the Israel Hi-Tech Industry Association.
Gill brings more than 25 years of venture capital investing experience in software, communications and semiconductors as well as experience building and leading venture capital firms. Prior to Opus, he was a founding partner and Managing Partner of Lightspeed Venture Partners. He was also Managing General Partner at Weiss, Peck & Greer Venture Partners and managed the West Coast venture capital operations of Adler & Company. He holds an MBA from UCLA.
Brian co-founded Retalix in 1984 and served as its Chief Financial Officer until 1999 (NASDAQ:RTLX). Brian also served as an officer specializing in economics and programming in the Israeli Defense Forces. Brian is a Director of Redmatch International Ltd., and holds a BA in Economics from Haifa University.
Arnon founded C-nario (acquired by YCD in 2011) as a spin-off of Disk-In, which he established in 1990. Disk-In is a leading Israeli provider of products and services to the digital video market. He also headed the Office Automation Division at Tadiran Consumer Goods. He holds an MBA in marketing from Tel Aviv University, and a B.Sc. in aeronautical engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Noam co-founded YCD Multimedia in 1999. Previously he founded Netune Solutions, a network communications and web development company. Noam also served as a system communication manager for one of the elite technology teams in the Israeli Defense Forces for 5 years. He is a graduate of the Israeli Military Computing and Information Systems Institute.
Dani co-founded YCD Multimedia in 1999. Previously he managed a leading software development team in the Israel Defense Forces for 6 years where he was awarded an Honor Commendation for Innovative Thinking. He holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering (honors) from Tel Aviv University.
